DESCRIPTION:The SODZ Board wanted to commemorate the 30th year of the club with a gift to our members! All members in good standing will receive a SODZ 30th Anniversary glass. \nCome to this Happy Hour to pick up your glass or see the other ways to get your glass below. This Hoster Happy Hour falls on Firkin Friday\, and at 4 pm the Hoster team will tap a Firkin of ESB with local Black Walnuts & vanilla! There will also be a new English IPA on draught: Reverend Purley Ale. \nHow to claim your glass: \n\n\nFrom 12/31/25 to 1/17/26\, glasses will be available at Hoster Brewing Co. during normal taproom hours. The bartenders have a list of members and will check off your name.\nWe’re also scheduling a SODZ Happy Hour at Hoster for Friday 1/2/26 at 4 pm. That way picking up your glass can be a social occasion\, and it’s also Firkin Friday at Hoster!\nRemaining glasses will be available at the January club meeting at Grove City Brewing Co. on 1/19/26.\nAfter that\, we’ll bring glasses to future club meetings as necessary.

DESCRIPTION:10 am – 12 pm – optional shooting12 pm – official start of picnic\n\nPlease see your email from SODZ President for more details\, but we have a new date and venue for this year’s picnic. All members in good standing are invited and may bring a “plus one”. Children and dogs are welcome as long as they stay under your control.\nThis is where we will judge the Iron Kettle beers brewed on site at Hoster (scheduled for 6/21/25). If you have an Iron Kettle entry\, but are unable to attend the picnic\, send it with a friend. You need not be present to win.\n\nHere’s what to expect:\n\nThe lodge has a full kitchen and indoor bathrooms.\nSODZ will provide a catered lunch for members and guests.\nMembers may bring additional snacks\, desserts\, and soft drinks. There will be outlets to plug in slow cookers\, etc.\nWe will set up the club jockey boxes inside the lodge\, so bring your kegged homebrew!\nYou’re also welcome to bring any commercial beers to share.\nThere is a picnic shelter and a fire pit\, but bring your own lawn chairs\, picnic blankets\, lawn games\, etc. for use outside.\nThere’s a playhouse for kids.\nCamping: you can also bring a tent and any camping gear if you’d like to camp on the grounds overnight (bathrooms will be accessible).\nAccess to the Little Darby Creek trail will be restricted while shooting is in progress (obey posted flags and instructions).\n\nRange Info:\n\nAny shooter should bring their own firearms and safety gear. The ranges are outdoor.\nPistol ranges: 25 and 50 yard ranges with steel knock down targets. These are for pistol caliber ammo only.\nRifle range: 100 yard range. Use rifle cartridges here only – not on the pistol ranges.\nFor those without their own gear\, Rick and Ron will bring a couple guns and safety gear to borrow.\nNo drinking before shooting\, and obey all safety instructions.\nAny questions – see Rick Doerr or Ron Sleppy\, who are COAHC members and our hosts.
